I just moved here last summer. A couple of weeks ago, a gentleman hit my house with his vehicle at 5:30 in the morning. The cops that responded didn't seem too concerned. They didn't even ask me for my ID or if I was the owner of the house! My neighbor was the one who ended up getting this man's insurance and driver's license info for me, not the cops. I now need a police report to file the claim and lo and behold....they didn't even do one! And they don't plan on writing one. They didn't think it was that serious.

Yesterday 3 of my neighbor's cars were broken into and had stereos/purses/etc. stolen from them. The cop that responded to one of my neighbor's was chastising him and overall not very helpful.

Have others in this neighborhood had this experience? I moved from up north to get away from this and I really hope that the cops are a little bit more competent than this.
