The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority (OOCEA) is in the process
of placing new crosswalks at Crystal Lake Drive as part of the State
Road 408 (Spessard Lindsay Holland East-West Expressway) Lake Underhill
Bridge widening and improvements project. This will require a traffic
detour over the weekend at the intersection of Anderson Street and
Crystal Lake Drive in order to complete the work.

 

Specifically:

 

•  The intersection at Anderson Street and Crystal Lake Drive will close
at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 22, until 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, January 24.
During this time, Anderson Street traffic wishing to enter eastbound SR
408 will be directed to do so at the Mills Avenue on-ramp. Comprehensive
detour signage directing motorists will be posted during the detour.

 

In other work activities:

 

•  The westbound SR 408 off-ramp to South Street/Crystal Lake Drive is
scheduled to close on Saturday, January 23, between the hours of 6 a.m.
and 4 p.m. for roadway striping work.

 

•  The right lane on southbound Crystal Lake Drive beneath the SR 408
overpass is scheduled to close daily, Monday, January 25, through
Friday, January 29, while crews conduct bridge work.

 

Wet weather and other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong
work.
