The important events transpiring in Tallahassee relate to our shared goal of making SunRail and Florida’s high speed rail line a reality. The Statewide Rail Transit legislation was just passed in the House (84-25). Today at 2:00 p.m., the legislation will be heard by the Senate Transportation Committee. Tomorrow we anticipate it will be heard in two other Senate committees. As early as Wednesday, it is expected that the bill will reach the Senate floor for a vote. NOW is the time to show your support for SunRail. Please stop what you’re doing and take a moment to contact Governor Crist asking that he put his commitment, his words and his weight in support of the Statewide Rail Transit legislation. A lengthy statement is not necessary - just an e-mail or call asking him to take the lead in getting this legislation passed.
