Open House
An
Open House will be held on December 16,
2009 between 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Colonialtown Neighborhood Center (1517 Lake
Highland Drive, Orlando, Florida / 407-246-4449). The design
plans will be available for inspection and project representatives will be
available to answer any questions. Feel free to attend. Thank you.
Construction Phase
During construction, some sidewalks will need to be
closed intermittently for improvements. However, pedestrian access will be
available at all times on at least one side of the road.
The replacement of concrete slabs will require some
lane closures. Due to the high volume of traffic on Mills Avenue, the lane
closures will occur Monday through Friday during the evening and early morning
hours between 8:30 PM and 6:30 AM. Although there will be noise and disruptions
from the construction, the City will work with the contractor to minimize these
as much as possible.
Project Cost
The Mills Improvement project is a federally funded
local agency program project with a construction cost of approximately $3.3
million.
