From Commissioner Patty Sheehan's office: Commissioner Sheehan wanted to make sure you knew about Solid Waste's schedule for garbage collection during the holidays.The City Solid Waste Division will provide normal residential garbage, recycling, and yard waste service every day except Thanksgiving day and Christmas day. If your scheduled collection falls on either day, collection will occur on the next scheduled day. On holidays, Solid Waste routes tend to run ahead of schedule so please make sure your waste is out prior to 6:00 am. Solid Waste will provide regular, residential collection service on New Year's Day and the Martin Luther King Holiday. All commercial collect will occur on the normal day, including holidays, if the dumpster is accessible to our crews.
