Please join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, District 5 Commissioner Daisy W. Lynum and OFD Chief Jim Reynolds for the Grand Opening of the Orlando Fire Department's (OFD) newest firehouse and headquarters, Station 1 "The Big House." The opening of Station 1 will centralize OFD personnel from three sites into one, housing the current OFD Station 1 units, Citywide specialty units including the Arson/Bomb Truck, Dive Van and Hazardous Materials Unit, as well as OFD Administration. In addition, this public safety building placed an emphasis on sustainable practices from concept to construction and has been designed to meet Gold LEED certification.
